In the same recreation park that had been visited by Josie & Lily
a girl with a telescope spied a Green Woman in the distance. The strange
sight bewitched her & she was unable to go for another minute without
recalling the time she had spied the beautiful creature. So she pined
away & took her own life by slashing her wrists open.
Yallery Brown was no man about town. Covered chin to shin in golden hair
he had a certain flair for punishing those who paid him any kindness or
care. In the cities of the modern world he made a literal killing busking
for any who gave him any money or compliment never ever stopped dancing.
Murder was the Redcaps' trade, many were slayed. The Rawheads joined
in too & many they slew. Hags their victims found & in swollen
rivers drowned.

Black
Annis was a hoary goddess in times of old.
Her body was electric blue but her teeth were sabres of steel.
She had a single fishy eye that burned with a fire of cold.
After darkness of straying children she would make her meal.
The tiny Spriggans are thought to be the ghosts of dead giants &
the guardians of hoardes of golden fairy treasure. They could swell &
grow so fat & tall from almost nothing at all. They towered over houses,
to them the people were like mouses. Thoughout the land they spread terror.
The Nucklavee is a centauroid beast with no skin & it hails from
the Orkneys. Muscle & wet flesh adorn it's frame & you can clearly
see the blood & lymph running through it's extended capilleries, arteries
& viens. It's head is as wide as it's body & it has a second,
wide mouth set just above it's first pair of legs. Rising from the waters
of the sea to hunt human prey it eats anyone who it can catch & the
only way to escape it is to run across a fresh water stream. This is bane
to the Nucklavee as it's cells would burst via the process of osmosis
as water molecules permeate it's skinlessness.
Jimmy Squarefoot was a giant who rode about on the back of a huge boar,
though sometimes his shape would change so that he appeared to be a pig-like
man. His favourite pasttime was to throw boulders about, mainly at his
wife, & much chaos & destruction he caused.
Much elf-shot was at targets flung
caused coughs in those who at it was slung.
Those craggy bags, Hags, did their witchcraft
as Knockers caused accidents in mineshafts.
Jack-in-Irons clubbed travellers to death.
Bogles stole a criminal's breath.
With a pike a Redcap would it's foes spear.
Cluracanes with Fly Agerics would spike drinkers' beer.
Sick, scared & saddened was every mortal
who met a creature from through Skriker's portal.
Children were stolen, changelings left in their places.
People's pets disappeared without leaving traces (burp!).
Folk saw such sights that they went out of their mind.
Trapped in strange realms without an exit to find.
Dancers reeled to their deaths inside mushroom rings.
Some were given strokes by the flints a Pixie flings.
Some were led along steep cliff faces to fall.
Yet of evidence the fairies left nothing at all.
The news readers had nothing of substance to report,
just the effects, not the cause, of the eerie onslaught.
& The Skriker was delighted at these actions of it's cronies. But
still it hankered after the attentions of Lily & Josie, who had given
it the power to unleash these forces on the world. Therefore the story
must continue without too much further digression.
