The slow kill begins

At 2pm on 7 February 2003 Wembley's Twin Towers were scheduled for destruction. To some football fans this act was on the same scale as the Taliban's merciless destruction of the Buddhist monuments. Eulogies were read by Wembley stadium officials and Ray Clemence and at 2pm the execution began. But instead of a spectacular explosion or a ball and crane demolition all we got was a drill slowly tapping at the dome of one tower. After a few hours I was left with only these bland images of the event...
